Impact Report

At South City Community School, we believe every child is a whole person, created in the image of God and worthy of a rich and beautiful education. Our commitment to providing an intentionally accessible Christian education is made possible through the generosity of families, grandparents, churches, and community partners who believe in our mission.

From 2023 through 2025, our school community continued to invest in the people, resources, and experiences that make an SCCS education so special.

What was previously known as our Annual Fund has become Charlotte’s Fund—a name that reflects our Charlotte Mason educational philosophy and our shared responsibility to sustain this mission.

2023

Planting Seeds for the Future

In May 2023, SCCS purchased its Reber Place campus, establishing a permanent home for our growing school community.

This milestone reflected a long-term commitment to providing an intentionally accessible Christian education in South City St. Louis. With a permanent campus, SCCS gained a foundation for future growth, continued investment in students and teachers, and the development of a school community that will serve families for generations.

The generosity and partnership of our community helped establish the foundation for the work ahead.

2024

An Invitation to Shared Generosity

In 2024, SCCS introduced its first Annual Fund campaign, creating a dedicated opportunity for families to participate in sustaining and strengthening the school community.

Being the first parent-led annual fundraising effort, the campaign focused on five important areas: teacher appreciation, student scholarships, school supplies, campus safety, and middle school curriculum enrichment.

The campaign established a new way for families to participate in the school’s mission beyond tuition and laid the groundwork for a growing culture of shared philanthropy.

2025

Growing Participation. Expanding Opportunities.

Our second Annual Fund campaign invited families to support five essential areas of school life, with a fundraising goal of $50,000.

The SCCS parent community responded with generosity, raising more than $58,000 with 66% family participation.

As SCCS began the 2025–26 school year, 234 students were enrolled, including 112 students receiving need-based scholarships.

These milestones reflect the importance of shared investment in making an SCCS education accessible while sustaining the teachers, resources, and experiences that allow students to flourish.

The Impact of Shared Generosity

More Than a Gift. A Shared Commitment.

The impact of generosity extends beyond the resources purchased or the programs supported.

It is found in the child who can attend SCCS because of tuition assistance. In the teacher who has the resources to bring a lesson to life. In the student who discovers a new interest through a rich curriculum. And in the families who find a welcoming community where their children are known, loved, and encouraged to flourish.

Every gift reflects a commitment to something greater than any one individual family.

Together, we are helping sustain a school where children can experience a rich and beautiful education, grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover their place in the world.
