Extra Curricular
At South City Community School, we believe that learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends. Our extracurricular programs are designed to inspire curiosity, build community, and develop students’ unique gifts and interests. From hands-on STEM projects and creative arts to team sports and performance opportunities, our fall, winter, and spring sessions offer a wide range of enrichment activities for students in every grade. Each program supports our mission to nurture the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—while providing structured, engaging, and age-appropriate opportunities outside of regular classroom hours.

Athletics Communication & Scheduling Notice
All communication regarding sports teams, including registration details, updates, and announcements, will come directly from the Athletic Director. Costs are determined by individual sport and set in collaboration with overall league fees.
While initial practice dates and times may be provided, please note that these are subject to change based on the official game schedule released by the league and the availability of the coaching staff. Families will be notified promptly of any adjustments.
Athletic Fees
Participation fees for each sport are determined in collaboration with the league or organization overseeing the sport. These fees reflect league registration costs, officiating, facility use, and other associated expenses.
Final fee amounts will be communicated by the Athletic Director prior to the start of each season.
Please note: The list of extracurricular activities provided is not all-inclusive. As new afterschool opportunities become available throughout the school year, families will be notified with details, including schedules, fees, and registration information.

Private Lessons with Mrs. Moylan
Starting this Fall, students can start year long private lessons on flute or piano with Mrs. Moylan! With half-hour weekly lessons, students will have the opportunity to learn a new instrument, gain confidence in their own musicianship, and develop their performance skills. Lesson slots are limited and are served on a first come first serve basis.
