Valerie Barclay, Co-Head of School (Emphasis in Administration and School Development)

Stephen F. Austin State University (B.S.W., M.S.W.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker, 10 years experience working with children and families in various social work settings, and 5 years experience serving as a founding member of the SCCS Board. Valerie and her husband Chris and their children Maren (5 yrs old, SCCS Kindergarten) and Graeme (2 yrs old) live in South City and are members at South City Church.

Brandy Greiner, Co-Head of School (Emphasis in Curriculum and Teacher Development), also Kindergarten – 2nd grade Teacher and PK3-2nd French Teacher

Moody Bible Institute (B.A. in Educational Administration and Leadership), Fontbonne University (Masters in Reading), 9 years experience teaching children of various ages and learning needs including combined / multi-age classrooms. 4 years experience in curriculum and teacher development in ministry / tutoring settings.  Brandy and her husband Joel and their sons Josiah (7 yrs old, SCCS 2nd grade), Aiden (4 yrs old, SCCS PreK-4), and Mason (10 mos old) live in South City and are members at The Journey (Tower Grove campus).

Abby Bishop, PreK-3 Teacher

Covenant College (B.A. in Biblical Studies, Minor in Ed. and Spanish), Western Carolina University (M.A. in Teaching, Spec. Ed.).  6 years experience teaching children of various ages, learning needs and specialties.  She and her husband Currie and their daughter Ellie (8 mos old) live in South City and are members at Old Orchard Church.

Krisi Maichel, PreK-4 Teacher

Southwest Missouri State University (B.S. in Education), 8 years experience teaching in a variety of settings including public school, homeschool, and Bible Study Fellowship children’s program.  She and her husband Eric and their daughters Maggie (7 yrs old, SCCS 2nd grade) and Bea (2 yrs old) live in South City and are members at Hanley Road Baptist Church.

Heather Steele, Homeschool Community Day Teacher

Covenant College (B.A. English), University Missouri St. Louis (M. Spec. Ed., Reading Specialization – in process), 11 years experience teaching or assistant teaching in a variety of settings including charter school, private school, and homeschool.  She and her husband Fred and their daughters Naomi (8 yrs old, City Garden 3rd grade), Audrey (7 yrs old, SCCS 2nd grade), Cate (5 yrs old, SCCS Kindergarten), Ilsa (2 yrs old), and Norah (2 mos old) live in South City and are members at New City Fellowship South City.

Joanna Posey, PK3-2nd Art Teacher

University of Arkansas (Bachelors in Fine Art – in process), 4 years experience in professional art, commissioned painting, and teaching art to children in both group and one-on-one settings.  She and her husband Michael and their children Beck (3 yrs old, SCCS PreK-3) and Sallie-Jewel (18 mos old) live in Kirkwood and are members at South City Church.
