It is the mission of South City Community School to cooperate with families in providing a Christ-centered education that challenges the whole child to discover God’s truth, to love learning, and to relate knowledge with action. Our purpose is to inspire children to embrace and flourish in their God-given calling as His image bearers and to go forth as agents for truth and reconciliation in their community. We have an intentional mission to the urban poor of St. Louis City.

This education does not distinguish between class, race, wealth, or status, but requires that all children receive much knowledge, a variety of courses, and information communicated in a well-chosen language.

Charlotte Mason

We believe that our city is a place of revitalization, historical significance, and influence, and yet is broken and in need. We long to see the Gospel transform this city that we live in through the church, the school, and the family. It is our conviction that a new school with a fresh approach to education in our neighborhood will be a catalyst to that end.
